©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC requires every client to read and sign the following policy agreement before any grooming service is performed.
§1. Appointments
§1.1. Rotation and pre-booking
©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC requires all dogs to be on a grooming rotation of 10 weeks maximum. Consequently, we strongly recommend clients pre-book appointments to guarantee that their dogs remain in excellent condition. We do not offer waiting times for last-minute openings as our schedules might be booked for several weeks in advance.
§1.2. Appointment times
Appointment times offered by ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC correspond to estimated arrival times. As a mobile service, our schedule is subject to interruptions and delays, including but not limited to long driving distances, heavy traffic, refueling, and delays from previous appointments. Hence, arrival time may be within 1 hour from the offered appointment time. We will call ahead to inform the client if there is a delay/advance of 15 minutes or more.
§1.3. Cancellations
As our appointment schedule is very tightly booked for specific areas, we require a minimum 48-hour advance notice from the client to cancel an appointment. Failure to cancel an appointment on time will result in a charge of $50.
On rare occasions, ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC may need to cancel appointments due to weather and road conditions or equipment failure. Every effort will be made to notify the client in advance.
§2. Pricing and payments
§2.1. Pricing
Our prices vary according to dog breed, size, type, coat condition, and behavior. We will provide the client with a quote once all the required information about the dog is available. Prices might be slightly adjusted at the time of service.
§2.2. Deposit
New clients need to pay a deposit of $50 per dog to book an appointment (See §2.3. for payment methods). The deposit is non-refundable, and goes towards the total. If the deposit is not received, the appointment will not be booked.
§2.3. Payment methods
Payment of remaining balance is due upon completion of services and can be made with cash, credit card, or money transfers via Zelle, Venmo, or Apple Pay.
§3. Clarifications, special circumstances, and other penalties
§3.1.Veterinary care
Our priorities are dog comfort and safety. If your dog becomes ill or gets involuntarily hurt during the grooming and the services of a veterinarian are required, the client permits us to obtain treatment if he/she/they is/are not available to do so, and agree(s) to pay such expenses.
§3.2. Vaccination requirements
For the safety of the dogs of all of our clients, we only serve dogs with current vaccine certificates for:
- Rabies
- Distemper-Parvo (DHPP)
- Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
§3.3. Flea/Tick infestation
For the safety of the dogs of all of our clients, we do not groom dogs with ticks/fleas. Grooming services may be stopped if ticks/fleas are found on the client’s dog. In this event, the client will be responsible for paying pro-rated grooming services or a $105 trip fee (whichever is larger). Please consult a veterinarian for treatment before (re)scheduling an appointment with us.
§3.4. Aggressive or dangerous dogs
Clients must inform us if their dogs bite (or have bitten in the past), are aggressive to people or other dogs, feel uncomfortable with specific grooming procedures, or suffer from separation anxiety. Muzzles may be used if necessary. ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such dogs before or during the grooming process. The client will be responsible for paying a pro-rated amount for the groom that has been completed or a $125 trip fee (whichever is greater), or an aggressive dog fee in addition to the regular grooming charge. Clients will be held liable for any bites to the groomers or property damage caused by their dogs.
§3.5. Seniors and dogs with health issues
Grooming procedures can be stressful for seniors and dogs with health issues, potentially exposing hidden medical conditions or aggravating existing ones during or after the grooming. Because seniors and dogs with health issues have a greater chance of injury, they will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort in styles that will not add to their stress. The client hereby agrees not to hold ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC responsible for accidents or injuries to an elderly or health-compromised dog during their grooming.
§3.6. Matted coats
De-matting is a painful and time-consuming procedure for a dog to endure. We do not de-mat coats as it contradicts our stress/anxiety-free philosophy. A heavily matted coat must be removed to allow a new healthy coat to grow.
Heavily matted coats can trap moisture allowing fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritation. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts, or abrasions due to warts, moles, or skin folds trapped in the mats. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include:
- Itchiness
- Skin redness
- Self-inflicted irritations or abrasions
- Difficulty in regrowing hair
The coat may not grow back the same in certain breeds and coat types. The client is responsible for the condition of the dog’s coat and will not hold ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC responsible for the adverse effects of mat removal and shaving. The client must be aware that mat removal and shaving may end in some allergic reaction if the dog has sensitive skin and that closely shaved dogs are prone to sunburn.
§3.7. dogs with sensitive skin
Some dogs are hyper-sensitive to being shaved down close to the skin. This situation is common in light-colored dogs. These dogs may exhibit scooting, scratching, or licking after the grooming. Please notify us if any of these reactions occur. We will leave the coat longer during future grooming appointments to avoid these reactions. Ear hair will be only removed based on the client’s preference following veterinary advice. Any required veterinary care will be at the client’s expense.
©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC is not liable for allergic reactions resulting from the manufacturer’s recommended use of grooming products. Scented shampoos, conditioners, creme rinses, sprays, colognes, and latex bands are used during grooming procedures. Please inform us if the dog is allergic to these products and consult a veterinarian to address product concerns.
§3.8. Grooming style
Grooming styles follow the standard recommended cut for each breed unless the client requests something different before the grooming service begins.
§3.9. Advertising
The client authorizes ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC to take photos and videos of the client’s dog before, during, and after grooming for advertising purposes at the ©At Your Bark and Call Mobile Pet Salon LLC website and social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
